ABOUT IASF

Throughout his brief life, from childhood until the day of the tragic accident, Ibrahim repeatedly expressed his worldview with strength and conviction: “Each one of us, in his or her unique way, should do their utmost to help fellow humans.”  To commemorate Ibrahim’s memory and to realize both his spiritual and human legacy, the family established a foundation in his name. The foundation has been legally registered in Israel & the USA as a nonprofit organization. It is managed by a board of over 30 members: academics, public figures and family members who oversee the foundation’s activities.

The Ibrahim Adnan Saadi foundation is committed to fulfilling the following goals:

Awarding individuals that excel within the field of medicine while contributing on a humanitarian level. Teachers, colleagues or employers will present nominations of these individuals to the award committee within the IASF.

Encouraging volunteer work by doctors and students of medicine, pharmacy and nursing as a means of contribution to communities underprivileged in receiving basic medical services.

Conducting workshops for medical industry professionals in a simulation centre that offers exposure to challenging clinical situations. The intent is to improve the quality of medical service while reducing the risk of human error.

Offering professional guidance to undecided young adults in determining their professional path, especially potential students of medicine, pharmacy and nursing.

To help reach the goals listed above, the Ibrahim Adnan Saadi Foundation will grant an honorary award for exceptional humanitarian contribution, organize volunteer programs for doctors and medical students to help reach remote and underprivileged communities, collaborate with Tel-Hashomer medical centre on establishing the IASF simulation centre, and fund a resource centre to help those considering a profession in medicine, pharmacy and nursing.

All undertakings of the Ibrahim Adnan Saadi Foundation will be conducted regardless of religion, race, gender and ethnicity.
